The Giant Buddha of Seokguram

Coming from North Bay as sea bride.

With the wave as breeze you swam.

Crossing the valleys water lines.

Glamour sat at the rock hill.

A prince thorn you’re there.

Soars heights in heavenly skies.

Rises up like a green tower.

Above the stones the nymph Buddha.

With sparkling high eyes.

As tow optical blue distance.

You’re greed a magnificent preeminence of spring.
You’re hair golden ties from heaven sunlight.

A straight blissful shape.

Like a maiden god you appeared.

For lovers and worshipers on the river mirror.

Inhabiting edge of the burbling old waters.
Seating in Seokguram, nearby the cities and the rivers.

A green stone as paradise emeralds.

In storm, beech trees are just surrounding.

Decorating Seokguram by a magnificent scenery.

Expend high exceed human visions.

Down you combing ties of hair.

Reads of golden sunshine.
Embraces the blue pure bright water.

Magic you’re the most Beautiful.

Touching hearts of young olds lover.

Like A maiden nymph on the sacred Seokguram.

The moon still faithful stays high in near.

Bright over the starry nights.

You still sing with the sky stars.

A powerful melodic tone.

And Lyrics of the old love times.

With the sun you are storing the tale.

Of The man and the precious stone.

Staying rise playing unforgotten old rhythms.

As the river water say on you.

Epic Poetry full of legendaries.

The Giant Buddha of Seokguram a myth, you are the river guitar.

The Giant Buddha of Seokguram pearl of the mountains.

You still forever the stone of Buddha laugher picture.

from the beginning till the far next future.

  2. Thank you so much for a wonderful poems. Mama is not well and she is just talking about the years prior to 1938. I sat her by the computer and she said it brought back the ache in the heart. So many lost a way of life twice, first when Hitler occupied [Czechoslovakia] and then the communists did. I hope the younger generations listen and try to understand their grandparents and all that they had to go through in their lives my mama loves korea a will tell her some of the poems.
